  17. <p>     The 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus' voyage to
  18. the New World is being honored in the traditional American
  19. manner--cashing in. Due in August is Christopher Columbus: The
  20. Discovery, a $47 million movie that includes a discovery of its
  21. own--George Corraface as the Genoan globe-trotter. Joining
  22. this fresh face is a familiar one: Marlon Brando as the infamous
  23. inquisitor Torquemada. "You had to pinch yourself to believe
  24. that, well, that's Mr. Brando in front of you," says the
  25. Paris-born Corraface. "But he had the same enthusiasm, the same
  26. generosity as someone in theater school." Not the same salary,
  27. however. Brando earned $5 million for a dozen days' work.
